Business and team
HoshimonoDesign is not a business built to sell a specific product or technology. We carefully organize the work and the requirements, then design the shape that fits the current situation with the least friction.
On-site we've often seen tools and systems get ahead of vague requirements, only to stop being used.
Usually it's because what to solve and how far to go weren't organized enough, or because the existing work simply doesn't bend to fit the application.
So in this practice we organize the work and constraints first, then decide whether existing tools suffice, what to build, and what to combine.
We don't build more than necessary and we don't pick unneeded configurations.
Because this is a side-business operation, we can't run on tight deadlines or labour-intensive approaches. In exchange, progressing in stages lets us propose configurations that keep cost and risk in check.
It suits teams that value the conviction behind decisions and a design that won't trip them up later — more than raw speed.
HoshimonoDesign is based in Asaka, Saitama.
We serve the greater Tokyo area primarily, with on-site visits and meetings as appropriate.
Web meetings let us communicate flexibly regardless of location.
We suggest the best mode based on the project and how it should progress.
As a sole-proprietor product studio, we own design, implementation and operation for the quality bar of real work. We keep users in a state where they can see and manage their own data, and we clearly explain why we choose configurations that don't send data outside.
A stack tuned for landing things into operations — from the upstream design of business improvement to automation, data activation, web development and BI.
